Ingredients for shahi paneer recipe
200gm paneer5 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
2 tomatoes (puree or finely chopped)
2 onions(finely chopped)
2-3 green chilies (finely chopped)
1-inch ginger(finely chopped)
3-4 garlic cloves(crushed)
1 cup coriander leafs
1 teaspoon red chili
1/2 cup of curd
1/2 cup milk
8-10 cashews
8-10 almonds
And salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of garam masala
2 bay leaf
Preparation of Shahi paneer.
1. In this recipe, preparation is not much you just have to whisk the curd in a bowl. And blend the cashews and almonds and keep them aside until needed2. Take onions, green chilies, ginger, garlic and blend them make a paste.
4. After the water is boiled turn off the flame and put the paneer in hot water for 10 - 15 mins. After that drain the water completely.
5. Then cut paneer into cubes.
How to make Shahi Paneer
1. In a pan add 5 tablespoons of ghee.2. After the ghee is hot add bay leaf and stir it after that add the onions, green chilies, ginger, garlic paste to the pan. Cook for around 3-4 mins.
2. Now add tomato puree and cover the pan with a lid and cook for 8 - 10 mins until the fat starts to release at edges.
3. Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
4. Now add the curd which we have whisked earlier and cook for about 5 minutes.
5. Now add the powdered cashews and almonds.
6. Add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup of milk and simmer for 2 mins.
7. Add coriander leafs
8. Add paneer cubes
9. Cover with lid and let it cook for 10 mins
Now your Shahi paneer is ready to serve.
